Coffin Butte Update

Tense political atmosphere after the last protest at Coffin Butte. I.S.R had called for a united front for the sake of effectiveness, and the attempt was undermined by the liberal European organizers who took a vote not to work with I.S.R and instead to be racially exclusionary and side with liberal groups such as the Sierra Club who has a background in eugenics. The contradiction was explained patiently to them and they actually voted to implement a liberal european gatekeeping. I had to make a traumatic speech in front of probably 50 people who i felt hated me. I was put in danger when i was betrayed and went forward to protest believing others would join me. When i got there it was no support and a police presence with what appeared to be a surveilance vehicle. Police stalked me that week and i had to tell city government about it before it ended. I was The lack of solidarity continued from all sectors because the task is difficult and the population afraid to protest or take meaningful action beyond petitioning the same county that hasnt’t listened so far. Corvallis has a long standing of racial segregation and exclusion of more radical activists who are actually effective and, in my case, have massive lists of accolades. Corvallis has no intention of breaking their racism and colonial domination. It makes for certain that every environmental rally will continue to look like a women for the klan rally. No change. No tribal consent. No input from the #RightfulStewards When i left the protest after completing it alone there was the cliche eagle flying over my head. I was stalked so heavily by law enforcement that i was barricaded in my house for a week and made several trips to mental health. Nobody checked on me. I found this deeply traumatic. The Beckys and Karens of the world and the non-profit industrial complex, organizations without anticolonial framework are still hurting us. Nobody is probably shocked at that. If you are in their circle of influence, you might ask them to stop being staunch white supremacists. Your Aunt Edna might have a colonial Jinx Deamon inside her. A Wendigo disguised as a sweet old white lady. Is your Mom n Dad a Bastian of environmental white supremacy? Ask them to stop engaging in colonial solidarity at the expense of the water. Water is life. This isn’t whitewater.

Who’s being silent?: Silence from Siletz and Grand Ronde: The site is on ancestral territory of Kalapuya which would be Siletz Confederation and the water flowing north contaminated to Willamette Falls cultural site sacred to the Grand Ronde Confederation. Neiter, one has spoken. Each one is dealing with corruption on various levels, probably an element of political cohesion, lack of options, nepotism and an attitude from some members that take political grievance with revolutionaries i.e they are petite bourgeoise sellouts. The earth suffers while they cannot find their voice and Pan Indigenous Government takes the brunt for their inaction. Leachate continues to flow north to Willamette Falls. There is a Chinook Salmon run in the Willamette River that struggles to exist.

Who recognizes me?: Bad people seem to notice me and say things to hurt me like micro aggressions. The good people of Corvallis stay eerily quiet which by default makes everyone start to look bad.

Recall: The people seek to elect new officials and everyone seems to share the opinion that there is corruption. Nobody has been shy about saying it towards the end. Perhaps the people are unable to prove it while it also seems so obvious.

Lead in the water: Lead has been found at Mountain View School near the landfill.

E.E Wilson Trout Pond: The trout pond has yet to be tested. The landfill drainage goes in that direction. You can observe this durring heavy rains.

Lack Of Solidarity: Lack of solidarity nearly caused us to quit as an organization this winter and it caused us to cancel the M.L.K march and education we had planned.

Conclusion: War Chief mko goes hard for the environment and consistently defends water quality and drinking water. Let this be further proof that i did my task even when it was difficult, dangerous and unsupported.

The comment period is nearing its end if anyone was going to do something.

Going To Seed. Restoring The Masculine.

This is a call to action for Men

Remember our responsibility to gather and preserve seeds. Specifically, as pertaining to building power and restoring the sacred masculine. As your collection of seeds grows you will gain in power. It will return us to influence as men. Trade seeds with other men and help get them started if you’re already a seed saver. Organize a seed swap event and flex your seed collection. Save organic and non-GMO seeds. Expand your knowledge by studying seeds. Become strong in the seed. At I.S.R building power is our answer to everything. Be that modern day Kokopelli

Tribal And Community Gardens. Give seeds to tribal gardens and tribal gardeners first. Second give to community gardens. Community gardens are a first steps towards collectivism.

To dry seeds:

Suggestion: Store them in paper coin pouches. You can get a box of 500 coin pouches from an office supply store. This will allow you to label each seed pouch with just a pen.

Time: A famine is coming and some squares and the apathetic do not care but we must. Starving and malnutrition are for squares. Were revolutionary. These are times of collapse. We understand the contradiction. Building power 101 is food production. Eating out of dumpsters may be suitable for anarchists but its not suitable for us. Its time.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place. Some people suggested an airtight container. Some people use a seed storage box. You might consider putting silica gel packs inside your container to absorb moisture. Check your seeds periodically for mold and mildew. I store both seeds and herbs in paper bags they seem to work for me.

Duty: Seed collecting is our duty that has been taken by the corporation and others. Sometimes it is being overlooked or forgotten similarly to men these days. As men we are protectors and this is where you get to demonstrate that by protecting the seeds. This is where you get to assist in preserving life. Colonial feminism has women acting like they are the whole garden, and they are immaculately incepted. Contrarian, it is us who are the seed. Be generous. Become skilled and accomplished at seed saving. Men need purpose or we become unwell. (male suicide rate in the u.s is one man every minute) This is a return to vital purpose. Take your power back!

Fruit trees that will grow in high desert.

  1. Apricot trees

2. Almond trees

3. Peach trees

4.Peach trees

5. Pomegranate tree

6. Apple trees

7. Cherry trees

8. Plum trees

9. Fig trees

10. Asian pears

11. Red Mulberry

12. Nectarine

13. Hawthorn

Stone fruits are good for 400 ft. Apples. Galla or Fiji. High desert Figs. Pomegranates. Some particular species of cherries. Good drainage is crucial and good mulching . Micro climate is good Species 6 grapes even. It’s hard to imagine the high desert producing this wealth of fruit. “If I could secure a small land base, I’d never go back to the mainstream”. Lisa Herthel

We had geckos and quails back in the day I recall very hot and dry during the day , then, the temperature would drop.

Choose fruit trees that can and will withstand high degree environments and not wither

during droughts. proper irrigation and soil preparations essential to healthy growth. the plants best time to start is February and march.

Asian pear has the ability to withstand the amid climate. Nectarines thrive in the climate that is in the desert. Apricots are originally from Turkey, gold miners planted some in the high desert here in North america and they lived and thrived naturally like it was there own home..

Do your pruning in the dormant season. perform soil test periodically, and also fertilize your trees with balanced nutrients according to there specific requirements. Live mulch around the base of your trees of 2 -4 inches deep. donut shape can benefit your tree immensley.

Always Remember, Proper watering, soil maintenance, and pest control are key to a successful harvest, with the right knowledge and attention, your high desert oasis can be filled with fruits that flourish in the challenging desert environment. this is a call to action to ask other people to grow and flourish in gardening.

Returning to the land. But not alone.

All parts of the llama were used. The bones made tools, the hair makes wool for blankets. They participated in the rise of societies. Llama are camelid family. Related to camel. A hybrid of llama and camel exists but they are sterile like a mule which is the more well known horse/donkey cross. llama went extinct on Turtle Island it is suggested that they were eaten to extinction but im not sure i altogether believe that. llama date back 35 million years to the continent. They were domesticated 4 to 6 thousand years ago. Genetic to continue llama were in Peru. Incan.

An adult llama will be around 300 lbs but you should not overload them. There were some differences in opinions on what they can carry. Some hunters are using them and pack them up to 130lbs. Others would say no way keep the load under 100 lbs. more like 80 lbs. An adult human can not ride a llama. They are pack animal beast of burden. Llama eat 40 percent less grass than goats or cows.

The people of Peru decorate their llama and use them in ceremony. Colorful tassels are put on the ears that protect against evil spirits. Llama are suitable for high desert and mountain elevations and terrain. Ready to ditch your car? Mabey someday? Rewild the human being.

Decolonization isn’t limited to humans of course. Many animals played a role in humanity making it this far. Those animals were betrayed and marched off to slaughter houses to be replaced by steam engines and automobiles. Peak oil occured in 2011. The return to the use of animal transportation is logical for some people. Others may choose bicycles or something. Llama are paleolithic camel once from Turtle Island. Llama can play a role in helping us do one of the most radical things possible. A thing people are shy to do but inside they respect and see the need for. Return to the land. When we return to the land we will will not be alone. Animals will be with us. We will experience community and part of that community could be llama. Collaboration with llama will be a sign of being successful. The I.S.R Land Back Food Forest will have a llama. Pressure your local government to allow animal transportation. Advocate for a third lane.

Medical Silencing

Pic: Grampa, Myself, Lobo (I.S.R security deceased) and Big D at Grand Ronde Pow Wow 2008

Intro: There is information online about racism in the medical field but there is less information on medical “accidents” that happened on human rights activists. One such case happened in the 1990s in a place called Corvallis Oregon. (Kalapuya, Santiam) territory.

Anecdotal evidence: Many people have said they were victims of political and racial medical sabotage.

Military Service: Grandfather would have been drafted so instead of being drafted he signed up for more hardcore duty. He joined 5th Marines in Korea and ended up being the bodyguard for the General partly because he had top scores on mac-10 sub machine gun. He was chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear warfare expert. I point this out not to glorify militarism but to illustrate how or why this might have been done. Dallas Hass made Seargent and any rank he was offered after that he turned down. The u.s empire is using and abusing indigenous people for military purposes and it fails to protect those of us who served.

Activism: A senior member of the American Indian Movement used to live in Corvallis. He was a true militant. He challenged Peabody coal in the southwest at a time they said he was stepping on Russel Means toes even they said. He attempted to make it to the Wounded Knee Standoff but was accused of kidnapping his own daughters one of which was my mother and he returned home. Later he would walk across the so called u.s in Longest Walk 2. He was a personal friend of Dennis Banks. I remember growing up hearing my grandfather talk to Dennis on the phone. Later even after the medical silencing he would go on to personally pay for water testing on fishing lakes in the north to see that they were not polluted with mercury and other substances. He played a support role with Center For Nonviolence in Bainbridge Washington and did security for Buddhist monk Senji Kenaeda and others on anti nuclear peace walks. He was blasted with a radiation device while protesting Hanford nuclear reactor. He and other elderly militants threatened to go to Bristol Bay end the gold mining operation that threatened the salmon fishery. Non profits took credit for what the elderly militants achieved. Some from as far away as Hawaii.

Ground Zero

Construction: Grandfather ended up in construction and built a large portion of Corvallis including many of the schools. When i tell this to the people of Corvallis they tease and mock me. I find it very frustrating that they do this kind of internet bullying and taunting. Grandfather even worked on the old Corvallis High School. He built Wilson, Adams and Garfield elementary schools that i know of. I didn’t even know all he had built. Corvallis has a long way to go towards redeeming itself towards indigenous peoples both from here and those from elsewhere like my family who is Potawatomi and Dakota.

Pic: Grampa at Greasy Grass 2010

Medical Silencing: My grandfather would speak his mind and people would listen, i seen him do this casualy like at the grocery store or at a resteraunt dinner. I feel that the wrong people took notice of this. While getting a tumor removed a doctor collapsed both his his lungs and he nearly died. He had a tracheostomy and stoma put in his throat and after that he had to learn how to talk again. The doctor said to him “Well you didn’t need to be going around doing native shit with a canoe on top of your truck anyway”. The medical silencing left him unable to use a canoe because if it tipped over he would drown with the stoma. Our grandfather was a fisherman. This basically ended his fishing. Our family was very angry. It was not my Grandfathers regular doctor. His regular doctor was angry at the doctor who hurt my grandfather. There was talk of having my older cousin knock out the doc. I feel like my grandfather sued and got a small amount of money. Perhaps he was told not to talk about it afterwards, but he is dead now. In many ways i speak for him now. This medical silencing made him feel embarrassed in public. Ultimately this lowered the quality of his life significantly and shortened his life span. Even when he regained some ability to speak, he often just wouldn’t. I have trauma from experiencing him being silenced. Openly he acted as a Democrat but in private he shared his most militant thoughts with me. The deterioration of the American Indian Movement and his inability to help me left me at odds with my own grandfather. My aunt told me not to write about him on the internet. In so many ways i shouldered my entire families end of the struggle politically as they chose to be silent and blend in for fear of losing more than they had already lost.

Pic: Grampa and i when we hosted P.D.J run for the water 2012

Politicized: We need our own medical separate from the empire. Tribes can and sometimes do make their own medical centers. Some are better than others. Another thing needed is medical within an organization as a program of self-determination. I.S.R could do that if the people would end their boycott of substance and quality.

I dedicate this blog entry to ending medical racial abuse and experimentation. To the dream of safe and free medical care for all people and to my grandfather who was an actual solid human being and role model.

Restoring Honor Guard

Pow wow honor guard as we know it is a phenomenon that came about at the time of the first world war. Pow wow itself was derived from the Wild West show. Dancing was outlawed by colonists. They felt it was in league with the devil. (If you ever wondered why they can’t dance this is why) When we were able to dance again it was for profit and to be seen as a spectaclefor colonists to be entertained by. Influence for the modern pow wow came from a Pawnee War dance called the Iruska. The Iruska which has a history of warrior societies and sacred visions as the one by Crow Feather. If we remember history it was the Pawnee who sided with the U.S. Cavalry against the Lakota, Arapaho, Cheyenne confederacy. A war dance and this explains the honor guard of the grand entry which is what i will unpack here before i give a call to action. We must understand where the honor guard came from to understand where it should go. This was part of how our people were made to fight the wars of the colonizer and conditioned to exploit ourselves. I had a relative who fought in WW2, Korea and Vietnam. My grandfather was the bodyguard to the general in the Korean war. I hold membership in Akicita Heyoka (Fool Soldiers) a spiritual warrior society. I of anyone am correct to unleash this healing upon the continent. The u.s has not fought an honorable war since WW2 and its time for us to take our honor back.

AIM at Pow Wow: Now that we understand that pow wow is a modern pan indigenous phenominon lets acknowlede on a correct time line the way that the American Indian Movement of which my grandfather and Great Uncle were both senior members were the force that continued powow and functioned parralel to pow wow from 1960 around the time of the PNF Fishing Wars, through Wounded Knee in the 1970s and on into the 1980s and beyond. This is crucial because of its effectiveness in communications and dialectics in networking beyond computers and tech. We MUST reclaim this. Counter revolutionaries must not force the revolution out of the pow wow scene when we helped carry it for over 40 years! Take our rightful place back amongst the people! Its likely the greatest minds are in the resistance the color guard takes the prize for biggest bellies every year. (Crazy horse reference)

Whats happening now: The veterans are trying to exclude and forbid people with AIM backgrouds, actual members of ancient warrior societies that are older than the u.s and land defenders and water protectors. They will try to say “active duty only” this has been a response of theirs because they are trying to find out how to shut down the resistance and keep the honor guard for bolstering the colonial empire alone. They are putting their minds together to find ways to greater hoist their own oppressor at the expense of the true warriors of their people. They have so controlled this false narrative that you would more expect to see Marines in a grand entry than sacred warrior societies. I once experienced a woman who gave every veteran a gift and when she came to me in the line she said. ” for you, i have nothing”. She did this to undermine a true warriors efforts to decolonize the honor guard. These vetrans are benefitting from the ontinued efforts to keep indigenous resistance invisible. It teaches the youth to lick the boots of our oppressor even though theres no longer a draft. We continue to be the race with the highest per capita that throw their lives away for them. This stockholms syndrom is responsible for a massive body count but it seems nobody has had the political spine our wherewithall too challenge it. Ive spent a decade trying to unravel it myself. In actuallity these veterans should not really be in the place of honor. This torment of the real revolution is happening at Grand Ronde annual pow wow which is one of the largest pow wows on the west coast. Its important to say the location for healing and accountability. The people involved thnk that outside eyes will never reach them but today the eyes of 94 nations can see. A spotlight has been shown on this counterrevoultionary and anti indigenous behavior. From witnessing this injustice other land defenders have started to put themselves in the grand entry to be honored. Especially this increased after Standing Rock. This is correct and appropriate. I have since seen it disapear and it is my guess that the pro empire natives were succsesful in making the land defenders so uncomfortable they never returned to seek the honor that truely belonged to them. This is a case of stolen valor. The newer generations thanks to I.S.R unity politic will seek allegiance with the earth not the war machine. Stockholm’s syndrome is slowly losing its popularity amongst the indigenous. There is a terrible injustice being perpetrated by these bootlicking veterans who have used this to gatekeep their communities and receive undo praise and material support. It is my observation that the honor guard gets smaller and smaller. Its dying. Nobody wants to serve them anymore. The way to bring integrity to the honor guard is to let the real warriors of the people finally return to the forefront of the minds and hearts of the people. These imperialists have even stolen your prayers which also belong to the true warriors of the people. Instead the prayers have been laid across the alter of Stockholm’s. Who is sponsoring them to inflict this diminishment? Who is ok’ing this lack of understanding and ability to implement culture? We are the reason the culture exists in the first place. If these veterans think this way they should openly try to ban all warrior societies including the, Fool Soldiers, Stronghearts, and Tokalas. See how far they can get. It would be better than sneaking around trying to be geriatric bullies for a time gone past.

“The existence of a nation is not proved by culture, but in the peoples struggle against the forces of occupation”. Frantz Fannon

Massive Call To Action: All warrior societies, all movement, AIM, Brown Berets, Land Defenders, Water Protectors heres your instructions. Go to pow wow, in groups preferably. Plave yourself at the head of grand entry. Participate in grand entry and if you get to introduce yourself on the mic or in person tell them proudly that you’re not a war veteran and that you proudly served here on turtle island defending turtle island not harming people in other nations for oil and empire. We have to do this to restore honor to the honor guard. Fill as many spots in the honor guard as you possibly can to continue to heighten the contradiction. Above all is to solve the material contradiction and physically impose ourselves on a space that belongs to us that we have been exiled and embargoed from. Its up to us to show the youth right from wrong. Theres an evolution in revolution and we choose where we go from here. This is the healing of the nations. Follow me staunchly and emphatically as we overturn this ugly and persistent contradiction once and for all. To the extent that we even phase out the flags. No more. If we assert ourselves persistently in numbers, we will prevail.

As the dams have been breached and the salmon return to the rivers the real warriors MUST return to a place of honor. Reverse the curse. #HonorBack

Cold Frame Reminders

Food security has always been an issue. There has been many famines worldwide in the last several hundred years and early humans struggled with starvation as a ever-present threat if crops failed or hunting failed. Recently half of the colony called the U.S is about to undergo forced starvation as a political tactic. The half of the states effected are the ones who have clung to more humanitarian and compassionate, diplomatic values. So of course people are responding in a multitude of ways and because of rampant unchecked individualism there’s not going to be cohesion in tactics. The tactic im going to mention here will allow you to add six weeks to your growing time for horticulture and let you get in a second carrot or radish crop. This also will let you have root vegetables in winter when veg is scarcer. This could also ba a chance to repurpose an old set of windows or glass/ plexiglass doors and keep them out of a landfill. Remember to experiment with diverse root genetics. I found a blog and video on this topic. I don’t think i can improve on theirs so i will include the sources for you below. We seek bring this back up as a relevant topic and offer tangible solutions for difficult times. To bring it back in the minds of colonized peoples. And as always Land Back. Look to I.S.R vanguard to lead the way.

Coffin Butte Threat To Willamette River

This blog entry is to bring awareness to the tribes in so called Oregon about the practice of running landfill leachate through sewage treatment plants that discharge into the Willamette River. It is an effort to reach anyone who cares about us and the condition of the planet. Green text is from or inspired by Joel Grier. Blue text is War Chief Mko

Toxic Algae: leachate indeed can cause algae growth from high concentration of nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus. When leachate contaminates a water source, these nutrients act as a fertilizer, leading to an overgrowth of algae known as an algal bloom. How leachate causes algae blooms Nutrient overload: Leachate from sources like landfills contains high levels of nutrients, particularly ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates.

Fertilization of water bodies: When this nutrient-rich leachate runs off into rivers, lakes, and streams, it provides an excess of food for algae.

Rapid growth: Nutrient overload causes algae to multiply rapidly, creating an algae bloom. Consequences of algal blooms are oxygen depletion. When algae die, their decomposition uses up a large amount of dissolved oxygen in the water, suffocating fish and other aquatic organisms. Overgrowth can cause algae dead zones.

Ecosystem disruption: The overall balance of the aquatic ecosystem is disrupted, leading to a less healthy environment. Some algal blooms can produce toxins that are harmful to aquatic life, pets, and humans. Leachate toxicity and algae While nutrient-rich leachate can promote some algae growth, it can also be toxic. High concentrations of heavy metals and other toxic compounds in leachate can actually inhibit or kill algae, a phenomenon that is being studied for potential bioremediation purposes. What is Leachate: Hidden Dangers in Landfill Water – ACTenviro Apr 1, 2025 — Leachate can leak from landfills and infiltrate underground water sources, making drinking water unsafe. Toxic metals can cause neurological disorders.

People Vs. Coffin Butte Round One

Round one of protests against the expansion of the Coffin Butte landfill October 22, 2025. Several people converged on the entrance to the landfill and some brought signs stating thier opposition.

Some background: I was able to learn some things about the situation. First there is a lack of indigenous input. Some of the people pushing for the expansion have an attitude that the indigenous have been satisfied on the issue and likely have not been contacted nor have put in sufficient testimony or opposition. A few reasons why other indigenous should give their input would be that it is affecting water quality which is harming salmon and eel etc. Beyond that there’s a need for more revolutionary indigenous input after all the northwest and the fishing wars is was a factor in the birth of the old American Indian Movement of which my deceased grandfather who built many schools and houses in Corvallis was a senior member. I know for a fact that anything that hurt fish my grandfather would have been against. He had been medically silenced by a doctor in Corvallis and the took his voice for speaking out. I will speak for him as well. To me it is obvious that both Siletz and Grand Ronde should give testimony, and the clock is running out. Both of these tribal entities are obligated to speak or write in testimony. I will be speaker #98 at the county event. My territory is U.S, Canada, Mexico, Pacific and Caribbean Islands. 93 countries worldwide read our blog. Corvallis and for that matter anybody is done treating us small. I was told Somalia will be joining as supporter number 94.

E.E Wilson Pond: I was able to talk to a scientist who understands the direction of the runnoff from the dump and it goes into the pond among other places. There is arsenic in the water and Oregon Department Of Fish And Wildlife refuses to test the water. I believe it is their responsibility to test that water. I myself ate almost 40 trout out of there this year that i caught legally. Food is becoming more scarce and i am techncally a low income person, peasant status. I actually need the meat i fish for unlike the upper class who tend to sport fish. Although people online have belittled this fishing pond i belive it to be priceless. Truely i must demand that the water hole be tested. ODFW we are callin you out. Expect us!

Jackson Frasier Wetlands: I was the youth forman on the youth crew who built the boardwalk at the Jackson Frasier Wetlands. I am on the waiting list as a volunteer to rebuild the boardwalk that is in disrepair currently. Im not a scientist im just an indigenous nerd but i know that wetlands are the water filters of the natural world. To me the landfill expansion is a threat to the surrounding environment and you can clearly see that with the eye as trash is strewn all the way to the turnoff for the hostpital. This road literally runs by a wildlife refuge and the county is asking the question “how is this effecting the surrounding area” More like how could it not? Look you cant control birds and wildlife that travel on their own validity. That wetland shouldn’t be further threatened or made to absord more that it can tolerate. There is indigenous food camas in there. I actually occasionally eat camas in respect to its abundance. I see the landfill expansion as a contradiction to the wetlands, and it undermines the greenbelt. The wildlife rehabilitation center that might heal some of those animals is losing funding. I suggest the people themselves come together to collaborate funding for both Chintimini Wildlife and Jackson Frasier. Republic waste is talking like they can offer money. I would quote M.L.K here

“Philanthropy is commendable but it must not cause the philanthropist to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice that make the philanthropy necessary in the first place”. M.L.K

We don’t need their money and shouldn’t give platform to them lording it over us. In this case its an environmental injustice and the reason for it is the landfill that is supposed to be closed eventually and at least not exceed current capacity. I speak for the Virginia Rail, The camas, the duck and the indigenous people who have been restricted from the landscape when i say no against the expansion.

Compost: A definitive demand of the people is that cities and counties across the state along with the tribal communities all create their own compost programs. Waste is being shipped all over the state and once you look at it you can see it doesn’t make sense from a fossil fuel pespective. It certainly appears that composting programs have been overlooked and the whole thing looks like a money making scam. People doing unecessary things because they get paid to and then a closer observation it just looks like rampant corruption and complacency on the issue. McMinville as i understand is the only ones who have a independant composting program. As far as the composting done by the dump itself it’s so full of plastic nobody wants it and it’s piling up. That does not seize the means of production for the people and forfeits a usable product to a corporate entity who is proving to be careless on multiple levels. Compost is a opperatunity to keep tons of waste out of the landfills and if done right it will make an extremely valuable product and not just monetary but a real material value. Even the fledgling Pan Indigenous Government of which i represent has its own composting program and has had for over a decade. Cities and counties not running their own compost especially urban composting are being irresponsible and neglectful. To find out this is still not being done in 2025 is just shameful. Many more community gardens are needed, and rooftop gardens should become normalized and common.

Call to action for the tribes: Immediately innitiate your own compost program if you have not already done so. I have stated this publicly before. I continue to be overlooked and you see here we are again. Lets correct the issue this time. Let us actually lead by example. Next year at pow wow we all better have compost bins. I told you already you can get land back one square yard at a time with compost. Here me this time. Also i must ask that I.S.R Pan Indigenous Government finally get the support of the people in mass. We are the ones who have done correct and we have done it with nothing.

Toxins: Its time to actually limit the toxins going in there and have tmore toxic waste community disposal days not expand the landfill.

Round two: Round 2 of protests will escalate to the public offices of the agencies involved and those reluctant to speak. I.S.R vanguard is taking this bull by the horns to ensure a true united front.

Yaupon Strength

History: The connection between Yaupon and the indigenous of the western hemisphere was ancient. Yaupon has been found in burial mounds that the age is carbon dated at over 4000 years. Indigenous people were trading over vast distances. Boats filled with Yaupon came up the Missouri River. So called “North Americas” only caffeine source. Various indigenous folks called it ‘The Beloved Tree’. It was also brewed into a stronger form for ceremonies that some called “black drink”. This in some cases was a drink to give super energy before combat. How much history is missing? How many Yaupon songs will we never hear? This plant was also smoked by medicine people.

Oppositional Propaganda: This plants name was tarnished by colonists. Literally. As indigenous people we understand that as they tried to exterminate us as a people they tried to exterminate entire plant species along with us that we have developed relationship. This plant was so powerful that it came to rival the East Indian Tea Company. Eventually a colonizer botanist named it Ilex Vomitoria. It became associated with poverty and indigenous folks. Much of it is removed because colonists had a campaign of killing our plants out of fear, hate, and control. We understand that Yaupon is a holy plant and an attack on Yaupon is an attack on Indigenous spirituality.

Necessary Powershift: Yaupon is making a comeback but not amongst the indigenous. Its making a comeback with the plant thieves, the ethnobotanist types. It’s making a comeback with the capitalists who need new markets to exploit. I seen a group of colonizers who got it to grow in a regenerative agricultural-forest. This is what we should be doing. I.S.R seeks to put the Indigenous back into permaculture and reestablish ourselves as the #RightfulStewards. #PlantBack A shift towards indigenous collective economics. Restore the indigenous as healers instead of new age gurus playing with our sacred plants.

Supply Chain/Climate: Yaupon is an answer to a fragile supply chain that can and does break down. It will mean less coffee needs to be shipped. Many coffee companies are involved with corruption because they have been taken away from the indigenous and manipulated by capitalism. Many modern coffees have fillers and added chemicals for tste ect. Endless boats, planes, vehicles are involde in this shipping process creating millions of tons of atmospheric carbon. Yaupon is the northern relative of Yerba and can be grown further north.

Obstacles: I.S.R is the only revolutionary expression of #LandBack. The Pan Indigenous Government is obviously the most innovative, inclusive and intelligent. Foremost obstacles are apathy from all peoples, indigenous peoples attacking their best and most benevolent leadership, reluctance to join, surface level analysis by the masses. Liberalism by all races is a factor. Liberalism is dying but not fast enough. It became clear to the world after George Floyd that the liberal is irrelevant and only serve as a lingering obstacle to liberation and climate rejuvenation.

Soil: Yaupon soil. “U.S zones 7 thru 9

Yaupon holly thrives in a range of soil types, but it prefers well-drained soils with a pH range of 5.0 to 7.5. It can tolerate sandy or loamy textures and is quite forgiving as long as drainage is adequate. Avoid heavy clay soils that retain water, as yaupon roots dislike soggy conditions. For optimal growth, enhance the soil with organic matter like compost and ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.

“Yaupon is a crucial building block to the restoration of Turtle Island”.
